Nepenthes vieillardii (Blue River National Park, New Caledonia) FV-002-01

 10 €
N. vieillardii is the only pitcher plant native to the island of New Caledonia and the most eastern occurring Nepenthes. Although it has been in cultivation for several years already, there are only very few people with good-sized plants of this species. The reason being that - unlike most pitcher plants - Nepenthes vieillardii seems to prefer a very well-drained soil and overall drier conditions. It is best suited for bright conservatories or windowsill-setups, which allow significant air circulation.
Pictured plants are potted in a 7 x 7 cm pot for reference. Sizes may vary slightly.
